RREA National Focus Funds - Taking Applications

The Request for Applications for the FY 2008 RREA National Focus Funds is now posted at www.grants.gov. A total of $297,000 will be awarded across four focus areas:

eXtension Communities of Practice

- Rangeland Stewardship and Health

- Forest-Based Bioenergy.  

 The maximum CSREES award for EACH of these CoPs is $85,000; eXtension will provide an additional $15,000 to each awardee, for a total of $100,000 for each Community of Practice.

 National Network Projects:

- Forest Resource Education for Municipal Officials (FREMO) – maximum award of $50,000

- National Web-Based LearningCenter for Forest and Rangeland Owners – maximum award of $77,000

The deadline for submission of proposals is July 28, 2008 – 5:00 PM.  Proposals that arrive after 5:00 PM on July 28, 2008 cannot be considered.
